Went to a gas station to buy smokes, and they had kinder eggs in there for sale, with the toy inside! We’re now not stupid enough to choke on toys, yay!

I think those are dumbed down (two distinct pieces, not like a Euro/Canadian market item)
Murkan market eggs though, you know, because of freeeeedom and less big government and the other fantasies.

I like to smuggle them across the border along with Haribo Starmix.

I could get you a real one, but it’ll cost you. I usually smuggle one or two of them back into the US every time I go to Canada in a car.
I used to also bring their Mountain Dew back, but now it’s just as shitty as ours.

I used to bring eggs south back in the day. The last time I did, they were met with a resounding “meh”, so never again.

I’ll admit that other chocolates are better. Coffee Crisps, for example.

What, Canada used to get better Mountain Dew? Was it made with real sugar or something?

I am partial to the Wunderbar, and a co-worker likes Purdys , so I always bring something back when I go north.

Real sugar, no caffeine. I described it as a “light fruity beverage” the first time I had it.
Back in the early 00s my buddy was working on a project in Calgary (he’s from the US, as was all of his team), and it took them a couple weeks to figure out why the hell all the programmers were struggling so much on this project . They finally realized that the Mt Dew (which every single programmer under about 40 drank copious quantities of back then) didn’t have caffeine in it. After they started importing cases of it their productivity dramatically improved.

Y ou’re the third person I’ve met that claimed Wunderbar was their preferred Canadian candy bar. I have yet to try it...
